Privacy Notice & Insurance...

I am totally committed to the privacy of my clients, and thus am opposed to sharing information with insurance companies and managed care organizations. Your confidentiality is protected by state law and the rules of my profession. Files would be released only if a life is threatened. However, oftentimes, a therapist who is an "in-network" provider must submit intimate information in order to have sessions covered. This often is a breach of client confidentiality because these written reports are mailed or faxed to clerks who log them onto large company computers. This information often becomes a permanent part of your medical file and might increase the cost of your future health premiums.

The above reasons illustrate why I have chosen not to join insurance companies or managed care organizations as "in-network" provider. However, I will be happy to work with your insurance company as an "out-of-network" provider. We must first contact your insurance company and inquire about "out-of-network" benefits. Generally, insurance companies can reimbursement from 50 to 80% depending on your plan. You would then pay my fee at the end of our session and submit my receipt directly to your insurance company for reimbursement.
